Wildlife Carers Network Central West, are members of the NSW Wildlife Council. Providing members with access to their resources and training. Currently a Training Hub is being established where smaller groups like us can access training facilitated by larger groups such as Sydney Wildlife. WIRES training is available through this link, please speak to John to access WIRES training at a reduced cost.
In order to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife in NSW, a volunteer needs to hold a licence through a licenced organisation like ours (Wildlife Carers Network Central West, Licence number: MWL000100216). To become a wildlife volunteer, Initial Rescue Training needs to be completed that meets the Standards and Guidelines stipulated by the NSW Government, demonstrating an understanding of the Codes of Practice that all wildlife rehabilitators must abide by.
The NSW Government Resource Hub provides standards, guidance, tools and best-practice information to help wildlife volunteers provide the best care to wildlife.
